To be or not to be..

Why is it so difficult and confusing to take a decision? Is it because of the fear of its consequences... or lack of enough knowledge of the constraints.. or fear of committing a grave mistake? Agreed, these may sound logical and justified.. but i ask.. In view of the above questions.. you decide to just avoid taking a decision or ask someone to decide for you.. what is the guarantee that the result may not be just as disastrous as you had feared?

There is no guarantee in life.. because life itself comes with no warranty. Man has achieved a lot through science and technology. For e.g cures for the strangest of diseases, virtual teleconference, creating a new life form, digital books that contain zillions of pages in a 6"X6" area. However till date the exact time of birth and death of man is still inexplicable.

Don't you think its worth taking that decision on your own and facing the repercussions than letting someone else do it for you. There are many advantages to this:
1. You have the freedom to exercise your fundamental right... the right to express yourself freely which in turn will make you very confident.
2. You won't ever be in a position where you might have to blame someone else for your mistakes.
3. You get to be a better judge of situations the more you stand up and take responsibilities. If you make a mistake, never mind you now know that next time you mustn't take that path.
4. Like Einstein said.. "I haven't failed, I've found 10000 ways that don't work!". Failure is as important as success. Without failure you can never truly understand the joy of success.

The important thing being you must learn from your mistakes. If you've once made a wrong decision, learn from it so that next time you know what not to do. I think these simple things.. your take on various scenarios are the ones that make you stand apart from the others. Finally in life its not where you reach that matters.. its how you reached there. Everyone reaches his or her destination. But its the journey that counts, the experiences you have encountered, the lessons you've learnt, the little joys you feel when you've accomplished something. These are far more important than the short cut you take to reach your destination while riding up on someone else's shoulder. Go.. Take the Plunge!
